Maggie has worked as a psychotherapist with adult individuals for over 40 years. She is a teaching member of faculty of the International Masterson Institute.
The nature of her private practice is longterm depth psychotherapy and she holds a particular interest in growing the self in her work with clients. She is an experienced trainer and supervisor, and has held roles in university and private training sectors teaching counsellors, psychotherapists and supervisors. She conducts clinical study groups and group supervision for psychotherapists interested in expanding their capacity to work with disorders of self. Her other qualifications include mental health occupational therapy, gestalt therapy, and advanced supervisor training. Maggie is a PACFA Accredited Supervisor.

Maree is a Clinical Psychologist who provides Psychodynamic therapy and supervision. One of her main areas of interest is how our early attachment experiences impact our sense of self and relationships. She works specifically with childhood emotional neglect, attachment trauma, personality issues, complex trauma, highly sensitive people, intimacy issues, grief/loss, and loneliness. Maree provides a safe and welcoming environment to explore yourself and your relationships; to understand who you are and what you need, and to become more aware of how you relate to yourself and others. This therapeutic work is generally mid to long term, depending on your individual needs and is conducted on a weekly basis.

Caroline obtained her Masters in Psychology in San Francisco and commenced a two year supervision in the Masterson Approach with the late Dr Masterson in 1992. She has continued in ongoing supervision with Ralph Klein MD for nearly thirty years. Ralph Klein was for many years the Clinical Director of the Masterson Institute and co-pioneered this body of work with Dr. Masterson. She introduced the Masterson Approach to Australia in the 1990’s and along with Dr. Elizabeth O’Brien, set up the International Masterson Institute, Australia, in 2013, which runs training programs for therapists primarily on the East Coast of Australia.

Dr Elizabeth O’Brien has been a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand of Psychiatrists for 30 years and pursued interests in education, training and assessment, ethics, forensic psychiatry, and psychotherapy. Dr O’Brien completed the three year postgraduate training programme to qualify in the Masterson approach for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of Disorders of the Self in 2014, and has undertaken supervision with Dr Ralph Klein for 20 years.
